Easter eggs and Easter bunnies 13 April 2007
Just when we thought spring had sprung winter froze are noses off
again. That my friends is a fashion disaster when you are talking
about Easter Sunday!!! There's nothing like putting on an Easter
dress (all springy and bright colored) and then putting on your
winter coat as you head out the door so you won't freeze! As you
know that's what happened here in Tulsa, OK on Easter. I survived.
Luckily I pulled out my cowboy boots to warm up my legs had a little
sweater and it all turned out rosy. I got some chocolate of many
kinds and packages and some cash which is probably one of the best
presents. Easter is another one of those awesome holidays like
Christmas where most of the world (except some restaurants) kind of
stops and families and friends become #1. I had an awesome lunch
with some of both and spent some quality down time with the people I
love. It was a fun day. Here's a picture of me and my
sister Whitney on Easter.
(I'm realizing there's been a lot of holiday pictures of me and my
sister on this blog. I guess some things don't change in life even
when you're all grown up.)
Part 2 of my Easter story!
Guitar Hero. OK, I know this is not a new video game if you have a
Play Station. However, I do not have a Play Station and no one I
know who has one has invited me over to their house so........last
Sunday (Easter) was the first time I got to rock out on Guitar Hero
since the new Xbox 360 version came out. Cory and I went over to
some friends house and played and wow, it was amazing, fun, hard and
easy all at the same time. I'm still on Easy and have a long ways to
go but I had a good time. Yes, you heard me. I played a video game
and I had fun. Let's just say the next day I went out and bought
Guitar Hero. I highly recommend it. It's better than Halo. It's
better than all those other games you people play cause rock and roll
is good for the soul and Guitar Hero adds to the fun!
Until next time, game over.

The picture frame is empty 22 March 2007
Sadly the girl who is always putting pictures on her blog is coming
up empty handed this month. There are no pictures mainly because I
don't think I've taken any pictures. i promise to have something fun
the next go around.
Subject 1: American Idol. I'll be honest, this is my first year to
watch American Idol. You're probably thinking "What?!?!?!? How can
that be?" I know I'm one of the last Americans in the country to
get on the Idol train. Of course the auditions were really funny and entertaining. It's a part-time job to be an Idol fan because of it coming on multiple times per week. I'll be honest. I haven't been
happy about the choices of who went home the past couple weeks. When
Sundance went home I literally got knots in my stomach and was
nautious. Things better start moving along better is all I have to
say. As a sidenote: Chris Sligh and Phil Stacey are worship leaders
at their church. Melinda Doolittle and Jordin Sparks have ties to
Christian music as well. It's cool that 4 out of the 11 contestants
are Christ followers.....that's a pretty cool opportunity to let your
light shine. So far, they've done three songs that are Christian
songs too (very few knew it though.) I'm a fan of the RockStar
show......INXS and Supernova. I know it's not on right now but next
season watch. Those are professional rock and rollers and they are
all TALENTED! Woo hoo.
Subject 2: Chicago. I went to Chicago last week to attend a
conference. The weather was cold. A few little snow flurries
fell....you know how I feel about the snow! :-) (I'm laughing
now). It was a good trip though. I ate at Portillo's (a legendary
italian beef and hot dog place around Chicago), Garrett's popcorn
(famous popcorn place on Michigan Avenue) and one of my all-time
favorite places Wolfgang Puck. (the spaghettini is awesome.....kind
of like spaghetti but way better....it has an olive oil base for a
sauce and is delicious). I got to squeeze in a little shopping which
is truly my favorite pastime so that's nice. I got an Easter
dress.....now we just have to keep our fingers crossed for warm
weather on Easter!
Subject 3: Ladies Night. Ladies Night at Oneighty has come and
gone. There was quite the buzz about it. It was a blast......give
it up for all the ONEIGHTY LADIES out there. I hope you all got your "tote bag". Happy toting to you girls.
To you and yours.....Happy month of March!

ALL ABOUT LOVE 21 February 2007
Valentine's was last week. Woo hoo, wonderful, beautiful. It's in my book, the cutest holiday of all and here's why: pink, red, hearts. Pink and red are two great colors. Hearts are a great object or
symbol, whatever you want to call it. Love is a beautiful thing.
I'm sure you boys are rolling your eyes right about now but just
because I think the holiday is "cute" I'm claiming it my 3rd favorite
holiday, Christmas and my birthday are the ones that made the cut
above Valentines.
Shortly after Christmas this year I was shopping at the Super Target... (one of my favorite places). I saw an ad for Valentine's Photo
Greeting cards.......and that's when the light bulb when off, or let's say angel voices started singing. Yeah, that sounds about right......anyways, I had the idea that my sister and I should have some cheesy pictures done for valentines this year. You know normally your Mom drags you to some place as a kid to have family/sibling pictures done every birthday and Christmas but we're both in
our twenties. Obviously, we were probably one of the strangest
appointments the Target portrait studio has ever experienced. I know
we had a good time. So, one of those cold days in January when we
had ice we ventured out, wearing lovely shades of pink, picking a
pink backdrop and coming up with silly sayings to go on the
valentine. Lots of fun.
Fast forward a month to Valentines. Oh what fun to give our friends
such a lovely surprise when they reached into the envelopes and
pulled out "Yancy and Whitney" valentines. So, here are a few
pictures to give you a taste of the lovely photography.
Until next time. Let love rule!

Cruisin' under the sun 30 January 2007
OK by the time you read this hopefully we will be thawing out from
the "Winter Blast" as I saw it referred to on the news. The ice/snow
blizzard that hit the lovely Tulsa area this past weekend. I'm sure
most of you were in doors getting plenty of home time. My husband
was stir crazy so he made it out to Target everyday. I stayed in for
a couple days....it was kind of a nice break. Well, I'm sure any of
you faithful readers of my blog know that I'm not a cold weather
person but this time it's really the case. See, I just returned from
a cruise.
Cory and I riding the boat over to the shore in the Cayman Islands. Cory is kind of smiling and boy is it hard to get him to smile in the pictures.
That's right I was cruising the sea, under the nice warm
sun, hanging by the pool, meeting new people. No coats, no gloves,
no scarfs. Just flip flops, capri pants, sunglasses and lots of ice
cream! It was a fun time. I also got to share my music on the
cruise. It wasn't all play. I was there as part of a conference and
got to share my music during some of the sessions. We stopped in
Jamaica and Cayman Islands. It's nice to be home now but I thought
I'd show you a few of my favorite pictures:
Cory under the palm tree. Anywhere that has Palm Trees you know is a sunny and relaxing place. Why can't we have palm trees here in Oklahoma?
The maid service would make these fun animal figures with the
towels each night in our room. This was my personal favorite one
cause it's wearing my sunglasses. Isn't the doggie cute?
Also in Cayman Island. The sky is so blue....I love it!
So, there you have it. That's my big story so far in 2007. It's
hard to believe that Christmas was almost a month ago. There's alot
of exciting stuff coming up at Oneighty. The new Varsity service is
here for all you 11th & 12th graders. It's going to be a really cool
time. Andy Davis (the guitar player at oneighty this past year) is
going to be leading the worship. I think everyone is going to love
it. I'll still be at the JV service on Wednesdays. Stay in touch.
Email me at yancy@oneighty.com I'd love to hear what you like about
Oneighty's worship....any song ideas......anything you don't
like.....you know the drill.
Remember to let your light shine bright!
Later.

Christmas times a coming 19 December 2006
Christmas times a coming, Christmas times a coming, (sing it with me!) Christmas times a coming and I know it won't be long. Just a little old time country melody for you. I hope you and yours are having a wonderful Christmas season. Last week we had our oneighty christmas party which was a ton of fun. The band got to do a bunch of extra music so that was cool. We had a blast working up all the fun songs. I hope you were there if not, you definitely missed a good time.
I can't believe how fast this month has flown by. I've had several parties at my house for different bands here at the church which were filled with good times. I've attended a few christmas parties also. I love parties. I love getting your friends over and just hanging out, playing games, watching movies, you know the drill! I had a few people ask to see a picture of my "purple" tree that's in my office and so due to popular demand.....(drum roll.........) I now present my "purple Christmas tree" (ta da!!!, sound effects, confetti, etc.).
I hope you like it. I hope that if you weren't in the Christmas spirit that has all changed and is now behind you because the "purple Christmas tree" has changed your life!
Today as I'm writing this, it's the Tuesday before Christmas.....but let's fast forward a week to New Year's. As of right now I have zero New Year's plans. No parties or functions to attend which now that I'm writing it out it feels pretty lame. I don't want to be home with nothing to do so I better start making some plans for the New Year celebration besides watching the ball drop on TV with Dick Clark! Here is a picture of me and my husband from last year at our friend's New Year's Party! It was fun as you can see by the delightful hats we're wearing!
Whatever you do and however you celebrate the New Year I hope it will be happy one for you and yours.
Merry Christmas lights and New Year's resolutions to you. Take time to stop and take count of the blessings in your life this Christmas. Look for opportunities to be a blessing to someone else maybe a friend or a stranger even. Remember to always be yourself! Let's get 2007 started off with a bang. I'll see you all at oneighty on January 3rd.
Peace, love and eggnog!

Christmas time's a coming! 21 November 2006
About this time of year, every year, for as long as I can remember, I
decorate my house for Christmas. Christmas decorations are a very
big deal at our house. Now, we don't go all out on the outside of
the house but on the inside there is a sea of Christmas decorations.
It all started many, many moons ago when my parents got married in
the month of November. It was about a week before Thanksgiving so
there were lots of Christmas decorations in the stores. It all
started there, my parents buying Christmas ornaments. Well, 28 years
have passed and they are still buying Christmas ornaments. As I grew
up, my sister and I both had a 4 ft. tree in our bedrooms. Then one
year, about five years ago we each got this incredible pink metallic
tree..........a few years pass. I get married. I enter the marriage
with quite a few Christmas ornaments. So I still have my original 4
ft. tree by our entry way. Then I have my pink metallic tree (which
is so cute, might I add.) that's in our bedroom and is covered in
Barbie ornaments and really cute colored glass balls. Then, there's
our big Christmas tree. Decorations on the mantel, the dining table,
wreath on the door, decorations in the bathroom, lights in the guest
room, well, you get the picture. Last night, was the night. The one
night a year where all my Christmas decorations move from the garage
to the inside of the house. I have wrapped presents under my tree.
Still, a little decorating is left but basically my house is a winter
wonderland and as the song says, "It's the most wonderful time of the
year."
As you live the next month of your life. May it be merry and bright.
May the mood of the season and the joy of the season be alive in your
heart. Spread holiday cheer with Christmas music, movies and treats
whenever you can. It's been a wonderful year and I'm so excited that
we'll end this year at Oneighty on December 13th with a really
awesome night of Christmas music and fun. Make sure you're there.
Bring a friend. It will be one big Christmas party. Tis the
season.......to be jolly, fa la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la!
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!

A BLANK PAGE WITH NO PICTURES 23 October 2006
Ok, so here I am starting to write a blog but I have no agenda. No
real story to tell. A blank page is staring back at me. I know
(partly, because I'm a girl) that I'll be able to fill it with words.
I'm sure this is how you feel oh to often. You're at school, supposed
to write an essay, the due date is approaching (tomorrow) and you
probably haven't started. Oh the challenges of life. I've actually
been reading a book called "The Creative Habit" that is about this very
same thing. It's by Twyla Tharp. She's actually a famous ballet/dance
choreographer. I bought the book at a conference because #1 it looked
really cool. #2 I read about Twyla and got excited when I realized she
was a dancer because I too was a dancer throughout my whole childhood.
(Sidenote: I still like to dance, take for instance the recent Mute
Math concert. I was a dancing fool that made all around just stop and
smile. You've got to love a good dancing session.) So, I picked up
this book and started reading it. It's a really cool book if you're
into writing or the arts of any kind, I recommend this book to you.
It's basically about the blank page and creating. There's a ton of
excercises you can do to keep your mind in a routine to always create.
You've heard of writer's block I'm sure.......it basically challenges
writer's block by saying have a routine. "Wake up, exercise, eat
breakfast, sit down at computer and write", is just an example. One of her points is also about your name. How a name identifies you
and sort of becomes who you are. One of her excercises was even
renaming yourself. If you had a say so when you were born what name
would you have picked out? Kind of interesting to stop and think
about. I love my name. It's different, people sometimes do think my
name is Nancy which just doesn't fit at all so I normally feel bad for
the person that thinks my name is Nancy because they are confused and
think that's my name. However, the rest of the time, when people are
calling me the right name, life is grand! Yancy actually means
englishman. Exciting I know. Probably not what you would have
guessed. I got the name Yancy because it was my step-grandfather's
last name. I love it and never once have wished I had a different
name. My middle name is LaDelle. I'm going to now let you stop and
ponder that.........................enough said. So, here I am again. 440 words into writing on a blank page. I hope you
enjoy the cold weather we've been having. Just to warn you Christmas
is rapidly approaching. You better start your Christmas shopping and
your Christmas list now. I'm proud to say I'm about 80% done with my
Christmas shopping. You're probably thinking I'm weird right about now
but don't worry. I'm really not that strange.
Have a great day. Let your Jesus' love shine through you to your
friends and family. Be at Oneighty this Wednesday!
See you soon.

July and August Have Blended Into One 14 August 2006
Yo yo....how is it going in Tulsa town? Life or should we say summer, has flown by. I apologize that I'm a little late writing a new blog to be up here. I had done so good for awhile and then slacker I became!!! I have really good excuses as to why I haven't had a chance to write though. So, here we are, a month in the life of Yancy.....where do we begin? Of course the fourth of July happened and then shortly after many of you and myself experienced Oneighty Camp out at Dry Gulch. It was a wonderful weekend. Lots of fun activities. My personal favorite was the water slides but you always have to love a few laps on a go kart as well. The next week in July was my birthday. I love birthdays. My birthday was the 16th which fell on a Sunday so I went to church, had lunch with my family, hung out, went to a concert and played putt-putt, one of my favorite past times. The next week. My husband and I went to New York City. It was a really fun trip. I had been once before but there is always soooo much to do there and not enough time. The weather was rainy which only was a problem a few times but I kept a good time even walking 10-15 blocks in the rain (with an umbrella of course.) We went shopping, took a ferry ride around the Statue of Liberty. We went to Times Square, the Empire State Building and Central Park. We took a tour through Central Park (which is a big place) and they showed us all the cool buildings surrounding it where famous actors and music artists and even Bill Gates have apartments. We saw the fountain that's in the opening of the TV show, Friends, the tribute to John Lennon and my favorite the bridge from the last big scene in the movie, "You've Got Mail" with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. Sweet little film. Here is a picture of me standing on the bridge where the scene happened. We got to go to the new Apple Computer store on 5th Avenue. The store is under ground and is open 24/7. It's just a big glass box that sits on the street and you enter it and go down. Pretty cool. We ate in Little Italy a couple times, yummy pasta. We walked over to Chinatown and Greenwich Village where I had a cupcake from famous, Magnolia Bakery. We rode taxis and subways. It was super fun. Wish you would have all been there too. Next in my busy month, a friend came to town so we visited with him. July is now over and August has arrived. Cory and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary on August 1st. Oh how time flies. I had a concert over in Arkansas. I did the theme song from summer camp for Dry Gulch with 22 kids in our services at Church On The Move this past weekend. The song is called, It's Not New. I had a party for Devin, our bass player at Oneighty. He's moving in a week or so to go to school at OU. It's kind of sad but I'm happy for him. We'll just miss him here @ Oneighty. And that pretty much leads me to today where I am sitting at my laptop typing away words that you will soon read. I know all of you are prepping for school. I can't believe it starts back in a week or so. We're looking forward to a great year at Oneighty. For the record, I will be at Oneighty for the next month but I don't get to sing which is kind of sad :-( because my vocal chords are swollen and the doctor told me no singing for a month. So, Kenneth will be doing all the leading but I'll still be around. I hope to see all of your smiling faces real soon. Come shake my hand and say "what's up?", next time you see me. Have a happy day!

Home improvements and self improvement 08 June 2006
OK so there comes a point in all home ownership where stuff falls a part for no reason. I was in a cleaning frenzy a couple Mondays ago and discovered a leak/mold problem in my husband's closet. That's right water was leaking from the shower into the closet due to some faulty tile. The problem was my wedding dress was in the closet up against the wall where such a leak happened. Thankfully it's in a special box that had an outer box because the outer box was messed up with some water damage. I took the remains back to the cleaners and I have gotten the verdict that the dress is OK. Woo, thank goodness. So I mentioned some faulty tile, yes, that resulted in a total redo of the tile in our shower. Seems pretty easy, luckily I went out of town to do a concert and missed the dirty work but my husband worked for about 3 days on removing tile, replacing sheetrock, laying the tile, waiting 72 hours to then be able to seal the tile, so I'm hoping by this weekend we'll be back able to use that shower which I now will love and be very thankful for because it will be whole, no leaks, no mold, clean and beautiful shower.
Here are some pictures of the damage and project.
So, while they were working on the tile problem I sat on an airplane last week reading a book. I get really inspired, motivated, moved when I read. I love to think of the possibilities. I love to dream. Reading (normally always leadership/motivational books, never fiction) gets the wheels in my mind a turning. What if, could I, let's try. Just like my bathroom there's times we have to remove a layer of damaged walls. Walls we've built, scars from experiences, attitudes formed because of an opinion of a certain situation. We have to take time to pull away layers and rebuild our hearts. David said, Change my heart O God, make it ever new. From the time we are born, we start aging. It's part of the process. There's precautions that we can take like excercising and diet that we can take to keep our bodies as fresh as we can. David who was "a man after God's own heart" said "Change me!". Life is a journey, enjoy the journey, take the steps that God lays out before you to take. Rejoice in the blessings He has given you. Take joy in the King of your heart who is and will always be your strength. I want to constantly change and become the person in Christ I'm called to be. Whatever calling, gift, place that is. I want to peel away the old. Let God constantly put His new fresh coat of paint or tile or more importantly fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, kindness, gentleness, patience and self-control) on my heart so just like my new shower I can be the best I can be.
Happy June.....I'm headed to California this month and super excited. I'll see you all very soon at Oneighty.

Summer is soon arriving 08 May 2006
Oh where has all the time gone? It's been awhile since I last wrote
a blog. This year has been flying by. I have been staying busy here
at Oneighty & Church On The Move. Lots of different events and all.
You are almost out of school. What is it about the month of May? It is always so busy with graduations, weddings, end of school parties, the list goes on and on. This coming Sunday I have multiple parties I need to be at all at the same time......some serious scheduling will be needed to pull it off.
A friend of mine just has a baby this past week. Babies are so mind boggling to me because I know we all start out as little babies usually 6-9lbs. in size and then that little baby starts to grow and grow and grow and you end up with an adult that ends up being 5'3" tall like me or some basketball player who is 6'5" tall. This tiny little baby turns into an adult who is capable of doing so much with their life. Life is a process, a journey and as we say at Oneighty, an evolution. Do the evolution!
I love summer. I'm sure you already knew that because I love hot weather. I'm not a big fan of winter and snow. I'm much more of a sun shining, eating a sno cone, have a bbq in the backyard, with some swimming involved kind of person :-) So what are you going to do
with your summer? Work, go to camp, go on vacation, swim?.......Of course you're out of school with some extra r&r time. This summer is a
great time to try something new, to learn something new. I'm working on planning a trip to New York City. My husband has never been and I think it will be so fun to go show him such a great American city. I've been there before but I've never been to the statue of liberty and some of the historical things there. (I just went shopping last time!) Take advantage of your time this summer to read a book about a new subject. Maybe pick up a new hobby that you've been wanting to try. Watch more than just the music channel on TV. I know, it's entertaining but it really just fills time and not much more.
May your last weeks of school be fun, your summer grand, your sleep peaceful and your life beautiful!
Always,
YANCY

it's about time 09 March 2006
Apologies are in order. I had prided myself in being a good blogger here at oneighty.com. I don't know what happened the past couple weeks....you might have thought I fell off the face of the earth but no worries. I didn't fall even on my face....I just forgot. Better late then never, here is the latest in Yancy land as of March third, two thousand six.
Our Valentine's Party at oneighty was rad.....we played Let's Make A Deal which was alot of fun. I hope you were there. I'm working on a CD for kids so that's what I've been spending most of my free time on. That should be finished up in the next week or so which is
nice. The girl scout cookies I ordered came in so since Wednesday I've
eaten two boxes of Samoas. I've been working out since right before Christmas and I'm just hoping this little girl scout cookie detour won't mess me up too much. I'm going to my parents house today and will restock my cookie stash!
I'm sure all of you know about itunes. A music site where you can download music, individual songs or whole records and now even music videos and tv shows, etc. I'm an Apple Computer person so I'm a big fan of itunes and the ipod. I'm so excited because you can now get Yancy music on itunes. Go check it out. I have recorded four CD's so far in life (I hope to record another one this year!) Anyways...that's been the big exciting something in my life.
There are some cool things coming up at Oneighty. Including a BIG event on April 5th so you won't want to miss that. I'll be back at Oneighty on March 15th. I hope to see you all then. Have a sun shiny day!

Worship set from Feb 22nd: Love The Lord, O Praise Him, Holy Is The Lord, Here I Am To Worship Worship set from March 1st: Worthy You Are Worthy, How Great Is Our God, Shout Unto God

Hello people out there 09 February 2006
So, I just returned from Purple Glaze. One of those paint your own
pottery kind of places, on Peoria. It's a pretty fun place. I've been
several times. Once with a friend for my birthday, when I got engaged,
my bachlorette party, our first anniversary and then today. It was a
girls day here in the performing arts department of COTM. I totally
recommend the place. You go, pick out your piece of pottery, paint it,
leave it there and they fire it and go back a few days later and have a
wonderful creation painted by you. You should check it out sometime.
I was back at oneighty this week which was awesome. I thought Pastor
Kevin's message Wednesday was great. Many, so many times we just blaze
through the stages in relationships galloping full speed towards the
finish line even though marriage is sometimes years away. I'm looking
forward to the Valentine's Party next week. Be sure and bring a friend
with you for all the fun, prizes, free food that will be happening. I
will be on the performance floor after co-hosting "Let's Make A Deal"
which should be super fun.
I hope your week is going great. Remember to put a smile on your face,
and your chin up because you were created to do something great with
your life!
Do the evolution....

This week's set on Feb 8th: No One Like You, I Am Free, There Is
Nothing Like, You Alone.

SO EXCITED 02 February 2006
Ok, so I'm sure you know what it's like when you're super excited. Maybe it's when you meet someone famous. The movie you've been waiting months for is finally out and you're going to see it. You get asked out on a date. Your birthday card from grandma comes and it's filled with some cash! You see where I'm going with this.....Well, I'm so excited because I'll be back at Oneighty this Wednesday, February 8th. It's been a month and I've missed seeing you all. Then, the following week is Valentine's! You've got to love the holiday filled with hearts and cupids, pink and red, roses and chocolate. What could be more perfect?
Valentine's happens and the day after we have a great big ol' valentine's party at Oneighty. There will be free food and prizes. I'll be co-hosting a fun game on
the performance floor after the service also so you'll want to go up there and possibly win BIG!
New in my life......just staying busy other than last night I went to the Keith Urban concert at the Convention Center. My family makes fun of me cause I watch CMT and listen to country music all of the sudden.....well, it was an awesome show. Very impressive and I better understand why country music has an Entertainer Of The Year award.....Keith was quite the entertainer and very worthy of the title. (He won it in 2005.) So, put on your cowboy boots and sing some sweet country tunes!
Put a smile on your face....make the world a better place.

Set from February 1st: Filled With Your Glory, All To You, Worthy You Are Worthy, What A Friend

My life is filled with music 30 January 2006
I love music. I always have ever since my Mr. Microphone when I was just a tyke and I would rock out on the fireplace. Then I remember the wonderful Christmas when I got a bright pink Sony boombox. That thing was incredible, sadly it broke within a month and the replacement was an ordinary black machine but the memories. Ever since I can remember I have loved music. I loved to listen but even more I loved to sing it. Music is such a great expression of emotions. There's so many things that you can communicate with music. I am a songwriter and I as I look back over the songs I've written there's so many stories and things in my life that are associated with each song. Wonderful memories to look back on and remember specific times in my life. I'm writing to you today from my office @ Oneighty. As I sit here I am so grateful that I get to do what I do. I've always loved music and knew
I was supposed to be involved in music. Most of my job at Oneighty® and Church On The Move is filled and consumed by music. How great is that?!?! Not only do I get to lead worship @ Oneighty and Younger Louder Later plus main services @ Church On The Move and chapels at Lincoln Christian School. I get to pick the music you hear in the
gameroom and before services. I get to plan the songs we'll sing in services as we gather together to sing and worship our God, our Creator. Wow! Not only that but I've made four CD's over the past 8 years and have travelled all over America, Sweden, Canada and even a trip to Africa to share my music. I get to write and record the theme song each summer @ Dry Gulch USA where thousands!!!! of kids come each year. I'm truly blessed.
I've always had big dreams and I still do. I love it because big dreams mixed with taking the steps that God leads you in pushes you forward. Always, no matter what people say, no matter what happens to you. When you believe in the plans that God has for your life you will win! You will be fulfilled and you will live a blessed and prosperous life. God wants us to have an abundant life. That doesn't just mean "things", that means the desires and dreams of your heart.I encourage you to look around this week. What do you have to be grateful for? What do you have to choose to get excited about? What dreams are in your heart? Dedicate your life 100% to God. Run after your dreams. You'll never regret it!
Always,
YANCY

my Week according to me 12
January 2006
I hope your week has been spectacular. I have had a good week.
Monday I cleaned out my garage. Here's the deal, I have a lot
of stuff. I have a lot of CD's and t-shirts that I sell out
there. There's luggage, the typical lawn mower and other lawn
tools that only my husband uses (thankfully.) Then, there's
my collection of holiday decorations and entertaining pieces.
All great things I'm thankful to have but it was crazy out
there. It always happens to me that once cold weather strikes
organization in the garage goes out the window. So, there I
was Monday afternoon....moving, arranging, throwing things
out in the trash, making my Goodwill donation pile. It was
a lot of work but very worth it. Now, you walk back into a
very neat and tidy garage. Tuesday I had some back pain to
prove it but that's just cause I was hard headed and instead
of easily taking a pile of boxes filled with books in sections
I pushed and shoved till I moved the whole stack. Awwww......
Tuesday, I went to get my hair done......cut and color. It
was fun to spruce things up. Wednesday....I was at church.
Those of you that were at Oneighty know I wasn't there and
that's because I was over in the main service with the adults.
Thursday is today, the day I am writing this. I did worship
at two different chapels for Lincoln Christian School. It is
my drummer's birthday today so cupcakes are going to be eaten
very shortly. I am about to start a band practice for Younger,
Louder, Later, the young adult service we do on Saturday nights.
Then, I'm off to have dinner with some family.
I'm going to Dallas this weekend and I'm looking forward to
that. Happy January to you. See you soon!

Set for Jan. 11th:
KING
SALVATION IS HERE (a new song)
YOUR LOVE OH LORD
YOU ARE GOOD

Christmas Is Over 05 January 2006
Well, hello there. I hope your Christmas was a merry one
and I hope your New Year was happy. I had two very delightful
holidays. Christmas was great. I got some awesome stuff
including a new digital camera which was something I had
at the top of my list. Of course I got some clothes and
CD's too. It was good. I went to Nashville for a few days
after Christmas to do some songwriting. It was a lot of
fun. Nashville is a great town and it has some great restaurants
so it's always fun to go visit my favorite places while
I'm there. My New Year's consisted of a party at a friends
house. It was a college graduation/New Year's party combined.
It was a ball. There was a competition where we had to
write and record songs in the program Garage Band. They
had created four different styles of music and there were
four keywords you had to use in your lyric. It was probably
one of the most fun things I've done in awhile. It took
a long time but it was cool.
One new thing in my life, I started exercising the week before
Christmas. I had not been very faithful to exercise in a few
years. It's been a lot of pain but a lot of fun at the same
time. Hopefully by summer I'll have a nice set of muscles in
my arms to show off! No pain, no gain......isn't that what
they say?
So now the new year has begun. I believe this is going to
be a great year. I have a lot of stuff I'm wanting to do and
accomplish. I'm excited about getting started and am looking
forward to a great year.
The set on January 4th was:
All To You
Love The Lord
Unfailing Love
All I Need Is You
Here I Am To Worship
Until next time.....do the evolution!
