Top 5 Things You Need To Know

All of our students in 6th-12th grade meet every Wednesday at every campus from 7:00-8:30 PM. On the First Wednesday of the month, we have United Night where all of our campuses meet together at the Oneighty building. These nights typically involve free food, lots of fun, and they kick off our teaching series for the month. United Night is a great week to check out Oneighty for the first time.

In addition, we have a JHI service for 6th-8th graders during every weekend service at all of our locations. Junior high students are some of the most amazing people on the planet, but they are going through so many changes that they are often all over the place! That’s why we double down with an additional service for this age group to help them navigate this pivotal, crazy, identity-forming time in their lives.

We do our best to create environments at Oneighty where students can learn more about who God is, how much He loves and wants a relationship with them, and how they can grow more like Jesus. This is why we sing worship songs, preach a message, and provide opportunities where students can connect with each other and leaders every time we meet.

We believe spiritual growth happens best within the context of relationships. That’s why our goal is to connect each student in a healthy small group where they have a safe place to be themselves, process their doubts and ask questions, get encouragement, and discover how they can apply what they’re learning to their everyday lives. Consistently attending the same service every week is critical for building these relationships with their small group and small group leader. Small groups happen every Wednesday night excluding United Nights.

We encourage our students to get on a Go Team where they can begin to discover and use their God-given gifts to serve others. Whether they serve in a kid’s classroom, at a local outreach, or go on a student mission trip, our students get to participate in the work of the local church. This is why we do not have a high school service on the weekends - we want them to serve!

We believe partnering with parents is the best way to raise a personal faith in the next generation. That’s why we want to partner with you to support the family, provide resources, and answer any questions that you may have. We would love to hear from you! You can reach us at parents@churchonthemove.com, and you can check out our parent resources here!

Q: What time does Oneighty start on Wednesday nights?

A: Doors to the building open by 6:30  PM, and service starts at 7:00 PM. Small groups are typically done by 8:30 PM and we close the doors at 9:00 PM.

Q: As a parent, what do I do? Do I just drop them off at the front door?

A: Yes, you can just drop them off and we will take good care of them. If it is their first time here, we will connect them with one of our registration volunteers who can walk them through the process.

Q: How do I get my kids at the end of the night?

A: When you pick them up, you’ll drive around the back of the building to our parent pick up  parking lot on the side of Oneighty. You can connect with your student from your car to come outside, or you can come inside and we will help you track them down.

Q: Can I come in and check it out? I’d love to see what my kids are experiencing at Oneighty!

A: Parents are always welcome at Oneighty. However, we would ask that you give us a heads up that you’re coming so that we can be prepared for your arrival. You can email us anytime to set it up.

For the safety of your kids, we don’t just let anybody and everybody who wants to come hang out at Oneighty in the doors, so there will be a few security protocols that we will ask you to follow.

That being said, if you like what you see and want to be a part, we would love to have you join our team and serve with us! We are always looking for adults who care about students and can be a positive influence in their lives. To find out more about joining the team, go here.
